A recommander
Thorough and really interesting
I really enjoyed this trip! The museum at Pella is superb (even allowing for the broken air-conditioning!) and the tombs/museum at Vergina are fascinating and beautifully presented. Our guide really knew her stuff; I was very impressed. The coach was comfortable and the lunch stop (an additional cost, but we were told that in advance) was excellent. If you go, take a hat and some water. The site at Pella is very open with little shade.
“Extraordinarily well organized and led by a very professional guide”
An extremely well organized trip to Pella and Vergina. Our guide was exceptionally well prepared to inform us about all aspects of life in the Hellenistic period and of ancient Macedonia in particular. Superb museums, and above all Philip the Second's grave. An absolutely memorable experience that will stay with us for many, many years.
Amazing guide. Really clear explanations. Has a very broad and detailed historical knowledge. The mosaics at Pella are wonderful - so much movement. V special. Philip 2 tomb is magnificent - all that 4th Century BC gold & art work - a true great wonder of the world. Delicious lunch too.
“Dimitra was well versed in ancient history and gave a great tout”
“Pella - average, Vergina - beautiful” Unfortunately, it is only with the English interpretation
Excellent tour with our guide. Would definitely recommend, just the right balance of time spent at each stop and information shared.
