The Passage of Samaria Gorge is a fascinating experience. The hiker is confronted with nature and wild beauty. The length is 18 km. Mother Nature has cut its way through the bulky limestone masses that tower up from 200 to 2.000 m. The wideness of the ravine varies from 300 to 4 metres. Leisurely walking (Normal Samaria Route) you normally need 5 hours to reach the south coast.

Your adventure begins at sunrise, arriving around 7 a.m. for a short break before descending 600 wooden steps into the heart of the gorge. Surrounded by the dramatic White Mountains, you’ll be captivated by the untouched beauty of this legendary landscape.
As you hike navigate the famous "Iron Gates", where the gorge narrows dramatically.
Your unforgettable trek concludes in Agia Roumeli, where you can unwind, swim in crystal-clear waters, or simply soak in the charm of this picturesque coastal village.

A scenic drive to Sougia leads to a relaxing boat ride along the coast, bringing you to Agia Roumeli at the gorge’s exit. From there, the choice is yours: stroll to the iconic "Iron Gates," take a refreshing dip in crystal-clear waters, or savor a laid-back lunch in the serene village setting.
