Cephalonia or Kefalonia is the largest of the Ionian Islands in western Greece and the 6th largest island in Greece. It is an island very attractive to walkers as it is to sunbathers. There are acres of inland forest covered mountains to explore as well as plenty of sandy beaches with crystal blue waters.
Argostoli, the modern and cosmopolitan capital of the island is quite busy during the summer season offering a plethora of interesting features and activities. Every summer, there is a huge influx of tourists who come to the island in order to visit the numerous traditional villages, the beaches known among the most beautiful of the Mediteranean as well as to taste its local very famous products.
