Our day starts after we pick you up from your hotel or a point close to the indicated hotel if car access is not possible. We will follow the national road to North Suburbs of Athens and at Agios Stefanos area our off road adventure route starts. Following an off road route in the wide area close to Marathon we approach the lake where our first stop takes place. Marathon Lake is a water-supply reservoir of Athens city, formed from the construction of Marathon Dam at the junction of the Charadros and Varnavas torrents. Enough time for photo opportunities is provided to the stunning view of Marathon lake dam. Continuing our day tour around the lake, enjoying our uncharted routes and panoramic views we reach Rathes and the Fairy forest of Varnava for our second stop. Admiring the nature colors, the dense vegetation of Plateaus trees and waters provide an ideal stop in Greek nature. Following our route and crossing through the vineyards of Costa Lazaridis domaine will lead us to the Kostas Lazaridis Wine Museum and Oinotria Land winery. Our wine expert will welcome us and our winery tour about the process of making wine, along with the production of local distilled spirits and balsamic vinegar starts. Our visit continues at the wine cellars where we will do a wine tasting session of 3 wines and one vinegar along with local cheese and traditional oak and barley breads.
With our mood full of memories, the tasting of excellent wines and the superb service of our expert escort and sommelier we will follow the road back to Athens.
