Visit the major sights of Santorini and be introduced to the winemaking, in one day. This half day tour of Santorini starts from the place of your choice and during the day you will visit some of the best sights the island has to offer and taste the major wine styles of the island.
After meeting up with your guide, the trip starts with a visit to the vineyards. Santorini has a long tradition in the winemaking and it is renowned for its outstanding crisp dry white wines and the elegant sweet dessert wines, the Vinsanto. You will visit a winery on the cliffside with amazing volcano views and enjoy the wine tasting.
After the stop in the winery we will head north, to the other side of the island and discover Oia, the village of the sailors. What you should expect here is a short walking tour to admire the white washed houses and of course to gaze at some of the best views this world can offer!
Free time for shopping, refreshments and the chance to experience one of the world’s best sunsets ever. On the way back to Fira we will make a short stop for photos in the artistic Firostefani, to capture the famous big white church which is part of every Santorini postcard! Then, after a short stroll in the picturesque alleys of Fira, you will be enjoy an amazing cable car ride to the old Port of Fira that will lead you to the small tender boats and eventually back to your ship, with unforgettable memories from your visit in Santorini.
All the cruise visitors with individual programs are taken to the old Port of Fira, the capital of Santorini, by tender boats. There, at the port, you will take the cable car up -to Fira town. The meeting point for the tours is at the cable car's Exit, in Fira town. Your guide will wait for you there, holding a sign with your name.
